DISTRICT SIX NEWS
Southeastern District 6 of SDAAO recently sponsored a fundraiser for Donna
Zimmerman, the Bon Homme County Director.
Ina Peterson (Clay) was overall chairman of the event on Sunday evening,
September 12th prior to the week of school.
She was assisted by Lori Mackey (Yankton) who chaired the 50/50 sale,
Bobbi Zimmerman (Yankton) who chaired the wine and beer tasting, and Renee Jans
(Turner) who chaired the dessert tasting.
The events raised $1,163 for Donna. It
proved to be a good mixer for the many from all over the state who donated
desserts and beverages and also those who participated in the tastings.
On
Friday following school, some of the District Six members stopped in Tyndall to
present Donna with the proceeds of the fundraiser.
At that time, Faye Dubbelde (Turner) gave Donna one of her hand crafted
necklaces and a personal donation.
In the
local community of Tyndall there will be a pancake breakfast, Sunday October 31st
at St Leo’s Catholic Church for Donna.
It will be from 9:00AM to 1:00PM in the church community center for
anyone who is able to attend.
