     We have our assessment notices mailed and have heard from several people about their values.  Local boards went fine.  We have one lady, who inherited a quarter of land, who now thinks her value is too high.  She actually was saying her taxes are too high but you can’t complain about taxes so value will work.  She will be at county boards.

     We raised our ag land values 17% this year.  Our top dollar is $950.  The values on the NA property stayed pretty much the same except for the depreciation changes.

     We have been getting rural building permits so people are starting to think about spring instead of snow and wind.  We have received permits for the towns also.  They don’t count up as much for new growth as the rural permits do.

     We did have some major flooding in the eastern part of the county so doing any appraisals in that area could be tough.  There are a lot of road issues. 

     Soon it will be time for the conference in Watertown.  It will be nice to have a break from office work even though we were closed several days this winter due to the weather.  See you at conference!
