I’m Ashleigh Goddard,
daughter of Todd and Janelle Goddard of Prairie City, SD. My mom works
as Deputy Director of Equalization in Perkins County. I will be starting
my 2nd year in the Fall and am pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree for Registered
Nurse at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion. My plan for the
summer is to work in a nursing home or hospital setting, gaining
practical experience in the nursing field. The plan after college, is to
move back West River and start my career as a RN. I chose to become a
nurse because I truly love helping people. I love cheering people up and
making them feel better.

Kayla Westby, daughter of Myrna and Curt Westby. Her
dad is a Pennington County Appraiser. Kayla will be starting her 5th and
final year at Black Hills State University. She is pursuing a degree in
Human Services and Psychology. Kayla hopes to continue to be on the
Dean’s List for her last semester as well as graduate with honors. After
she graduates, Kayla wishes to pursue a career in either of her major
fields and help the youth of South Dakota discover their potential and
obtain their future goals. While in pursuit of her career, Kayla also
wishes to attend graduate school in either Counseling or Social Work.
