IN DAVISON COUNTY

Hello, I’m CJ (Christi) Smith. I recently moved to Mitchell from Ft. Collins Colorado. I was a licensed Realtor and built custom homes for 12 years in Colorado. I grew up in San Diego, CA. I have 2 beautiful daughters (18 and 15) that I am extremely proud of. I am looking forward to a rewarding career as an Assessor with the Davison County Department of Equalization!

 


Hello, my name is Carla Wittstruck. I grew up in Mitchell and I now live in Ethan with husband Tom and children Cameron 15 and Katelyn 11. I have worked as a store manager in a restaurant for 24 years. I am very excited to be working at the Davison County DOE.

IN CHARLES MIX COUNTY

DIRECTOR OF EQUALIZATION

Denise Weber was appointed by the Charles Mix County Commissioners to the position of Director of Equalization effective October 1, 2011.  She will be replacing the “Old Timer” Jo Ann Mazourek.  Denise has been employed with Charles Mix County as an Administrative Assistant in the Director of Equalization Office since January 2011. 

 Denise and her husband Tim have been married for 22 years and live on a farm north of Wagner.  They have four children, ages 21, 19, 16 and 12.  She enjoys boating, camping and following her children’s activities.

 You will see this “New Face” at the Annual Assessor School next week in Pierre.  She is enrolled in the Basics Class and will be working to obtain her certification.  Denise has been an awesome employee for Charles Mix and she will do a great job as the Director.  Please give her a warm welcome to the Association.  Congratulations Denise!!

IN HARDING COUNTY

Rachelle Phillips recently moved to Buffalo, SD with her husband and four daughters. She grew up in Washington State and has also lived in Idaho, Utah and Wyoming. Rachelle has a degree in Elementary Education. She loves to read, bake, laugh, and eat chocolate. She is excited to work in the Department of Equalization for Harding County.

IN PENNINGTON COUNTY

My name is Joe Doran. I am excited to begin my new career with the DOE in Pennington County. I have worked in the aerial mapping industry for the past 14 years. I grew up on a ranch in Montana and moved to Rapid City in 1987. Married in 2005, my wife and I have three young kids and three dogs. We like to spend weekends at the lake.

IN FAULK COUNTY

 

My name is Liz Koens and I started as an Administrative Assistant with the DOE office in Faulk County in April, 2011. I am originally from Madison, SD and have lived in Faulkton for the past 6 years. I am married to Brent Koens who is the Chief Deputy for the Faulk County Sheriff's Department. We have 4 children, Megan, Molly, Marshall & Madyson. I am very excited about my new career with the Faulk County DOE.
